 To coincide with my conditional offer at Leeds Metropolitan and to possibly make it an unconditional offer...I have to write a piece of journalism work on a blog,newspaper/feature article of no more than 500words, and involve original research and quotations or interviews of some level.
Soo the past post was basically about this and I am literally stuck for what to do, what angle to approach it on...
Something current and relevant means.. BAFTAS, BRITS,OSCAR, LFW, FESTIVAL LINE UP, OLYMPICS ECT... but where the hell should I start!
there have been like noo massive scandals that I can report from the frontline! eeek need something catchy and relevant.

MY NOTES:
When did solid and strong relationships become such a burden to withold and withstand the force of our modern world.

What do you do when the romance is as solid as geometry, when the romance has disappeared and all that is left is emptyness, misery and violence. when the magic is gone and when copulating is no longer an option as one of you is tired of the other and you realise your conversations, intrests and thoughts are on opposite sides of the specturm of life. what do you do?

When a man beats his wife there is unpresidented uproar, nationwide.but when a woman hits a man the crime is far less publicated and men do not tend to report the crime as much as women.

When a man admires an ancient artefact more so than his wife, of course there is going to be trouble. we live in fast-paced modern day Britain, we have to pay our way in order to survive, the future is not determined for us, we determine our lives, domestic violence should never be a part of our lives.


But the real issue here is not domestic abuse between spouses, but hard mathematics, it is about solid geometry. Beyoncé would call it 1+1, Cassie would say it's me and you.


According to pyschologists there are two types of relationships, one based on the social exchange theory, which indulges in profit and loss, where material things such as money and social status are seen as the profits and financial investmests and seen as time wasted and losses... is this what leads to the break down of relationships, when love is no longer desirable as the losses now outweigh the profits?


Men don't read books on how to increase your relationships durability, or how to please a woman, men are from mars and women are from venus, we are completely different.


 but this year alone domestic violence is on the increase between younger couples

I  was horrified and felt a greatly traumatised after reading the story of the ten year old girl who was raped by her fifteen year old brother, how can such cruel and psychologically damaging crimes be occuring under the rooves of family homes. It makes us as the british public, question what role modes our children are subjected to, what teachers and parents are influencing the next generation to allow something so morally bankrupt and psychologically corrupt to occur in our homes.

MOST ANTICIPATED DAY OF MY ENTIRE WEEKEND!!!

Ahhh I was a mess friday and saturday trying to find someone anyone! who would sponsor me their virgin media pre sale code thing so that I could garuntee myself tickets... but I needn't have bothered! wtf seriously unimpressed (to say the least) about the line up!! After all the build up and frantic searches for a virgin donour (not literally, just scroll up!) the great wash of anticipation that I have been submerged in for the past 70hours has all been for nothing? call me an adreneline junkie (sorta) but I was kinda enjoying the whole rise and falls of tension as Virgin Media did a mini countdown timer thing and broadcasted on every social networking site I have links to.

Seriously for the wholeeee weeekend I couldn't go anywhere without bumping into the time in hours minutes and even seconds! anticipating the best and definiately not the worst. so to release this absolutely ridiculous ancient, boring and immensely DIRE line up and call it another triumph.

Well I am sorry Mr Branson but please do not take this as an attempt at some reverse psychology flattery. I call this years HUGELY anticipated Line Up an utter floppancy agreement (- disagreement (whichever) - made up phrase possibly but still!) 

Its like half the people from last years line up meet half the people famous in the 80'ss and BEFORE I mean who has even heard of the Stone Roses.. AND THEY ARE HEADLINING!...NOT EVEN THE ROLLING STONES argh !!

On the other handd... may have to attend simply because some good friends have already pre-ordered tickets(i know love them and all but ever heard of try before you buy AKA Sit your ass down and wait until you know the full deets ie - the lineup before you flash your cash - it wasn't burning a hole in your sweet ass pocket - trololol rant over)

and sometimes well Its not alllll about the music! (music journo in the making.. here I come!) It can be about the crowd! camping itself is an entirely separate adventure! SUN DAY

YAY the sun came out today and there was noo rain, just wind and coldness seeping through the tiles on the kitchen floor, currently hibernating in my bedroom whilst the dinner guests are down stairs, ive ate my belly full on curry goat, rice and peas, fried chicken all homemade by mama and then to top it offf she made some peach and apple crumble with custarddd! mmmm best home cooking ive had in a long time, and now everybodys kicking back watching top gear (yawn) so i've siezed the opportunity to escape and attempt NO! complete! my homeworks set for the holidays (typically late but oh well as long as i get it done!) I have a Psychology essay to complete which now after sending and recieving several blank and confusing text messages, I now know what the title of said essay is and can start! and a second piece for media studies, which is sort of reading comprehension and a debate to write about with key points to focus on (looks quite interesting wish I had given myself more time!!!) argh but yes the bain of my life includes

+student finance - as if the website is unavailable or some nonsense the day I actually have all the correct doccuments and publications ready to tap into the system fml!! (only eleven days til deadline! eek)
+leeds met request a piece of journalism to be sent to them (WTFFF! DID NOT KNOW THIS!!) before end of march... so now I need to write something for that!
+ I have an interview (which I need to tell work about and confirm drop off and pick up times ect / look at trains! for with dad) at Leicster, this is my first choice uni so seriously need to tryyy hard not to f**k up!
+ahem still havent booked a holiday! have booked the time off work, saved the money!! but still havent booked -so far have four girlies which is perfect number but we kinda want sixx so urgh need to get some confirmations, asap so I have a longer pay back period!
+ also if I am deadd sure about UCLAN need to re ring up admin and try and get them to consider me for swapping my course for a straight journalism course. but need to prepare myself for a possible surprise phone interegation interview... eek not looking forward to that but Yes Melissa. -also RBD* is seriously ruining my drive ( I swear that stands for something important, like in the medical field, but its really, in this scenarior and just for me, it means something entirely different!)
-ooo new news (really is that correct?) exhibit X has been coming along smoothly this weekend todays been a bit like driving over whale sized speed bumps, hit and miss but yano its sunday been a long week and weekend, we've both naturally used up all our witty conversation starters and cheeky comments right up at the beginning, left our wit and charm miles behind and have become the boring old OAP's that you see in supermarkets taking it in turns to push the trolley and look for goods, we're like benjamin button  but going the right way in time... so we;re like normal people/couples - but we're not couples and thats just it. its a good thing. we are young free and single and he has enlightened me on points that many previous exes never got the chance to (Or literally couldn't due to brain capacity - literally 2 cells keeping each other company was one of my exes only function oh and giving me great sex) but the point is, he is an enigma - smart, funny, sexy, loaded BUT we are nothing.. until apart from two people who find each other very attractive... lets see what this week brings though ayeee!

DIAMONDS, PEARLS AND MAMAS BIRTHDAY

Soooo right now currently sat in holey leggins, my work blouse and my ooh lala jumper watching Pearl Harbour, why havent I seen this before! its beautifulllll. 001. men no more! well sort of, exhibit X is gorgeous! fresh and hilarious, so I am looking forward to being friends for now though how the mind wanders! Rang whatta G today and he was sooo moody, dont really know what I rang him, other than to return the missed call from two days ago tbh -supposed just wanted to hear a friendly voice.. soooo didnt get that, so i hung up and am vowing right here, right now. NEVER to call him like that again urgh. FRESH START AND ALLLL

002. what a way to start my "new eighteen year old life" broke and alone, whilst everybodys gallivanting out into the night throwing back student night, watered down £1 cocktails including exhibit X and my bestfriend... I sit here at home dwelling on nothing, contemplating (but not really contemplating) the vast amount of coursework I am yet to start let alone complete! urgh and its only a thursday! urghh wth melissa! But in all fairness the reason I am broke is due to a cheeky little purchase involving a bit of black fur and a size 10 label ;) -will upload a photo sooon!- but yaya got my leather jacket, its not the one I wanted but Im calling it an investment for life, cus It truly is HOTTT! <3 & from a place youd least expect...

003.interview i felt went. ;/ hmm everybody was so clued up and I felt I was abit more hesitant, though I did fall in love with the city again... argh so gutted but my other offers stand, need to write a piece of journalism for leeds! maybe something unique to them, I have until the end of march to do that alongside all my other work and applicant days and applying for student finace ect ect!ahh life in the fast lane is soo hectic!

004. Quick shop around my homestore last night for mamas present, got her some earring a top and the next book in the steigg larsson girl with the dragon tattoo collection. wish i'd taken a picture now it was all cutely wrapped in butterfly paper and with a matchingish butterfly card! aww

005.neeed to paint my nails, theyve been bare for days now! and my toenail on my right foot is bruised badly ;(

006. Alsoo! I keep stressing myself out :( having massive headaches whilst im trying to sleep and during the day constantly on the left side of my head. it just aches. might actually book a docs appointment and get it checked with all these tumour scares and stuff ;|

Half Term!

HOLA!!
Yay first day of the break and I stayed true to the tradition of waking up late doing bugger all and being bored all day, dreading my liverpool interview tomorrow and attempting to revise but stressing myself thinking about it as opposed to doing -.- story of my ever so sshweet life! haa
sort of prepared. I can name names but information is abit iffy ;/
Leveson enquiry had to be started, looking into the practice of journalist in the media! loads of celebrities have come forwards claiming that journalists had been using underhand tactics to get information, including the phone hacking scandals, those who have come forward include- hugh grant, someone who was dating a celeb and chose to be named HJK, Heather Mills, Maddys Parents ect ect list goes on.

the senior exec for the daily mail refused to apologise for calling Hugh grant a malicious liar and that he had made up that the paper had hacked his phone , simply jumping on the bandwagon.


Also the uk economy is in dire straights with the government wanting to pump an extra £75billion of fresh QE money (quatative easing - freshly printed) innn.. causing a reduction to business job employment and investment. and also a decrease in the valuability and reliability of pension scheme.

Public sector jobs such as nurses pay packages are frozen for two years due to the economic climate

also in Greece, Athens havoc is occuring, with the economy worse off and facing eviction from the european country circit. They are relying on a rescue package from other countries such as America, to wipe off half their debts.
Several riots occuring with thousands of people destroying 45 buildings in athens,
the minimum wage has decreased by 1/5 and pensions are smaller now.

eeeek ^ all what i have learnt today, deffo need to start watching the news more..
anyways only really wanted to upload some outfit photos from friday ;) couple of pastel and soft coloured choices that I wore to college on the coldest, wettest horriblest day of that week!
but hey ho! wheather seems to be getting brighter and hopefully the week will progress in a far more positive way, cannot wait for the interview to be done, sortaaa excited for it but nervous tooo!

BAFTAS

Sooo it was the BAFTAs tonight and it just confirmed the small amount of British movies I have I have watched over the last few months! shocking, Ive wrote a list and am literally gonna get on it over the break.
But there was a clear winner, definitely from the start, who silently swept into The Opera House in Covent Garden and swooped up the most awards, and that was -The Artist- A Silent and glamorous black and white hollywood movie, became master of ceremony and cleaned up the award stand, bagging approx 6 awards including best music, cinematography,best film! best leading actor! best director! Original Screen play - They literally stole the show and the directors voice who made several speeches about the film was soooo sexy, and italian. In Loveeee, so marrying one of those ;) 

But as a quick rounder-upper the man who won the biggest, most important, sort of like a lifetime achievement on stage/film award was a name ive heard sooo many times floating around, class actor, starred in a ridiculous amount of classic movies, which have helped shape american and british film history.

Ooooh soo much to catchup on! my birthday was fun, went to the imperial in wolves, which has always been a favourite of mine ever since I was little! & went out last night and am still feeling groggy from that, sick night bitches! and now its half term! and i am bombarded with homework and coursework that I am extreemely keen to avoid! andd then... the day after tommorrow ive got an interview in liverpool for UNI, eeek things are happening sooo fast!


Stella stopped over after last nights antics and shes talking about booking paris for a four day weekend, the weekend after I should be coming back off holiday with the girls and dan... eeek!
more money expensess... its lile £886 for 3 people and four nights! urm don't think I'll be able to afford Paris, Nappa, V and Uni ...?! some things got to givee.... but yeah soo many plans, so little money and so little time! Aso bank balance is something like £24... really wanna buy something from ASOS another dress for out on the town...But ive got liverpool to pay for (thank heavens for dads taxi) AND its mums birthday mid week, need to sort her out a present for that! Also need to buy Nan something for hers as a card just will not do, not after all the things she gives/lends and does for me...

Seriously, Not feeling all those people who expect you to do something when they plan it, yunoo when you make time and take their plans and ideas and intertwine them to make them your plans, for example, their birthday plans, yeh you may not have the money, but your still gonna come out and have a goood time, on the budget! -- and then they cannot recipricate it..! Rant taking a raincheck for sure.

LIPSY AFFAIR

Not sure what to make of my first ever purchased LIPSY dress, okay it is probably from an age old season... but the size is strange for a ten, the quality is good however but the colours and detailing on the back is as if made by somebody who doesn't understand fashion? or is possibly too outrageous or courageous, I just think the back half of the dress is a disasterrr... but I'll let you be the judge.
On the plus side! I ordered it tuesday night and It arrived Thursday day time again on style saver payment ! - its amazingggg, seriously never pay for delivery when it arrives the same day if not before time expected! ;)

....Arghhh its now only three days until my eighteenth and I my brain has been boiled, scrambled and fried and is now  a lump of mushh about what to wear for it! I need like a super sexy - to attract alluring boys whilst im in my prime, cool and sophisticated - as I am now of that age, cute and not to grown up dress to flaunt and its taking FOREVER to find, infact. I am giving up. I have a choice of two, one is a lipsy dress that I thought was a steal in the sale at ASOS, more of a clubbers dress than a sit down evening meal kind of dress. but am now not so sure... and the other is a Warehouse orig £55 bought in the sale, its a gorgeous plum colour with minor jewelled details as explained and photographed in my previous post I think... but yeh its YUMM but i'm still not sureeeeee.. theres something else that I need to tie to plum and purple ankle boot heels with gold plate at back.. all together... I NEED A CLUTCH!
but yeyeyeye tooo little too late and i'm wayyy to broke to buy anything else besides the idea is its my birthday no-one will be looking at the clutch ect it will be about meeting up with the girlies, looking fab and feeling fab -regardless! and having a mint evening to christen my 'coming of age'!!! so i need to stop fussing, fix up and look forward to the begining of the rest of my lifeee :)

Anyways here is me and the lipsy dress which goes dreamily well with the ankle boots -also below- apart from my loath for the back end...

Also mum nipped up town today and bought me back a few pandora booklets and trollbead bracelets books as a possible brithday present! slightly excited, thee charms are so cooot and I so want the 14ct gold chain which is like £1000.. boo!

Recieved my first Birthday card in the post today! obvs from the nana who lives down the road, but still the sweetest gesture :)

Also trying my bestest not to scratch my hair before my ten thirty appointment with my hairdresser for a relaxer! urghh I havent relaxed my hair in what gone six months?! so me and short straight hair again will be like starting from scratchh eeeek nervous, and deciding on a style and getting all this done by half two so I can get to work on time arghh. tommorrow is going to be one big ballache! I'm not even going to consider my number two ballache S as he wants me to come round after work for a takeaway and shiz.. we are like Carrie and Big swear - but seriously his lifestyle is tooo tempermental and I never know if i'm coming or going these days, and that is NOT where I want to be anymore. I'm meant to have grown a year, and look where I am? Right back at the beginning of 2011 still in the same rut, less than a week before my birthday with somebody one year agoo I felt sort of the same about. ROLL ON SUNDAY. I think that will be the decider...

anywho its latee..technically saturday morning and my appointment loooms, so gonna finish off by watch American Dad before I snooze and prepare for the busy day ahead.. PEACE +
